Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking a Debt Collection Officer to minimise financial risk and maximise recovery of outstanding debts across the group. You will analyse accounts, follow-up on overpayments, and ensure compliant collections.

Responsibilities include applying credit control policies, liaising with departments, and using AS400, Debtpack, Connect and MS Office to maintain accurate patient accounts and reporting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is essential.
• Debt collection experience is essential.
• Two-three years' experience in a debt collection environment and exposure to private hospital environment are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and address financial risk.
• Collect outstanding debt within the set benchmark.
• Ensure effective utilisation of available resources to achieve optimal efficiencies.
