Job summary

Greenway Farms is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to implement and continuously improve HSE standards across Greenway Farms / Rugani Juice. You will work with Operations, Production, Packhouse, Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering and HR to promote a safe, compliant workplace in South Africa.

The role requires a qualification in HSE, 3–5 years' experience, and knowledge of ISO 14001/45001; you will conduct risk assessments, inspections and investigations, and report on compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management/Science or related field.
• SAMTRAC, NEBOSH or equivalent recognised HSE qualification.
• Sound knowledge of South African occupational health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Minimum 3–5 years' relevant HSE experience, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, logistics or a similar operational environment.
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment and incident/accident investigation.
• Knowledge of HSE compliance, internal auditing and corrective/preventive action management.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• BRCGS, HACCP and GMP awareness.
• Strong report writing, documentation and Microsoft Office skills.

The Health, Safety & Environmental Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring and continuously improving occupational health, safety and environmental standards across Greenway Farms / Rugani Juice. The role ensures compliance with applicable South African legislation, company policies, customer requirements and recognised management systems. The incumbent will provide practical HSE support across operational teams through risk assessments, workplace inspections, incident investigations, training, statutory compliance, environmental management and corrective action monitoring. The role works closely with Operations, Production, Packhouse, Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering and HR & Compliance to promote a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace.
