Placements24 is seeking a Head Pastry Chef in Stellenbosch to lead the pastry and dessert creation for exclusive events and the patisserie’s daily offerings. You will craft exquisite pastries reflecting top quality and artistry, while mentoring junior pastry staff and maintaining consistency across all products.

The role requires a refined palate, exceptional technical skills, and a flair for creative presentation in a prestigious culinary setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Chef in fine dining, luxury hotel, or high-end catering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pastry section for catering events and patisserie in Stellenbosch.
• Develop and execute diverse high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
• Create innovative seasonal dessert menus and specials.
• Manage pastry inventory, sourcing ingredients, and controlling costs.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
