Job summary

PEP SA is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain - Operations to lead its DC network nationwide. You will drive strategy, optimise warehousing, inventory, inbound and outbound distribution, and oversee safety, quality, and cost performance across multiple sites.

You will develop high-performing teams, lead senior operations, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with Transport, Procurement, Sales, Finance and IT to optimise end-to-end supply chain.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years' experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience managing multiple Distribution Centres or large-scale warehouse operations.
• Leadership of senior operational teams across geographically dispersed sites.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and distribution processes.
• Proven track record of improving productivity, service levels, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel nationally between Distribution Centres.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the supply chain strategy for PEP SA across the DC network.
• Lead DCs, projects, supply chain finances, and Control Tower.
• Drive operational excellence across receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
• Ensure DCs achieve service levels, productivity, accuracy, and cost targets.
• Manage warehouse capacity, labour utilisation, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including order fulfilment, inventory accuracy, and picking/packing accuracy.
• Lead DC management teams with accountability, performance management, and talent development.
• Promote health, safety, quality, and compliance culture across the national DC network.
• Drive continuous improvement incl. process optimisation, automation, and warehouse technology.
• Partner with Transport, Procurement, Sales, Finance, IT, and other functions to optimise end-to-end supply chain.
• Ensure effective inventory management and minimise stock losses, damages, write-offs, and waste.
• Oversee DC budgets, forecasting, expenditure, and financial performance.
• Ensure sites comply with legislation and company policies.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Supply Chain - Operations to lead and oversee the performance of our Distribution Centre (DC) network across the country.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that all Distribution Centres operate safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with agreed service levels. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction while maintaining strong operational oversight across warehousing, inventory, inbound and outbound distribution, people management, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a strong operational leader who can manage multiple sites, develop high-performing teams, optimise DC performance, and deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Distribution Centre budgets, forecasting, expenditure, and financial performance.
• Ensure all sites comply with relevant legislation, company policies, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
• Provide regular performance reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10+ years' experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Proven experience managing multiple Distribution Centres or large-scale warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading senior operational teams across geographically dispersed sites.
