Job summary

Smart4 Energy in South Africa is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and strengthen its procurement function in Gauteng. Reporting to the CFO, this senior role requires strategic sourcing, supplier management, governance and cost optimization.

You will mentor the procurement team, develop strategies, manage tenders and RFQs, and drive commercial value while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Senior procurement leader with strategic sourcing and supplier management experience.
• Experience across tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations.
• Proven ability to build and develop a procurement team.
• Extensive renewable energy or infrastructure sector exposure.

A leading company within the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead and strengthen its procurement function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute procurement professional who can balance strategic sourcing, supplier management, governance, cost optimization and operational delivery.

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Qualifications:

• MCIPS, CIPS qualified (Highly Beneficial)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, MBA

Skills:

• Extensiveprocurement experience, preferably within renewable energy, energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering or a related sector
• Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier management
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Proven experience managing and developing a procurement team
