Reddam House Constantia invites an experienced Music teacher to join its Preparatory School Cultural Department. You will teach Music to Grades 1–7, lead the peripatetic music staff, and contribute to a vibrant cultural program across the school.

You will plan engaging lessons, develop elective curricula for Grades 5–7, and foster a supportive environment that nurtures students' musical growth and performance opportunities.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a preparatory school.
• ICT proficient for teaching.
• Experience managing a large music department.
• African Marimba ensemble experience is a plus.
• Experience with choirs and piano is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare and present Music lessons for Grade 1-4.
• Develop Elective Music curriculum for Grades 5-7.
• Establish a nurturing teaching environment.
• Encourage passion and interest in music for all students.
• Coordinate signing up students and allocation to music staff.
• Set expectations and monitor progress of music students.
• Source and assist with interviewing and appointment of music staff.
• Provide support and leadership to music staff.
• Collaborate with College Head of Music to enhance offerings and performances.
• Arrange music/cultural events throughout the year.
