Reddam House Helderfontein seeks a passionate Head of Music to lead the SP and College Music Department, delivering a diverse program and strong ensemble direction. The role requires an outstanding music educator with vision, energy, and organisational ability to develop music across the Preparatory and College phases.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of School, collaborate with colleagues to promote continuity, progression and excellence in music education within the school

Qualifikationen

• Confidence with the use of IT in teaching.
• Proven track record of teaching Music.
• Previous experience with IEB Programme.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and present Music lessons that are engaging and informative.
• Create a nurturing teaching environment that supports engaged learning.
• Maintain professional standards for punctuality, behaviour, work quality and homework.
• Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
• Provide academic support on two afternoons per week and assist with two afternoons of co-curricular activities.
• Produce high-quality teaching resources for students.
• Demonstrate loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
• Attend special occasions as needed by the Head.
• Set and mark examinations and all other forms of student assessment.
• Write report comments.
• Undertake additional reasonable tasks as required by the Head/line manager.
