Placements24 in Soweto, Gauteng, is seeking a Lead Interactive Content Developer to spearhead gamified learning experiences and guide a team of instructional designers and developers.

You will shape pedagogy and the technology framework for our next-gen educational platforms, developing modules, simulations, and quizzes aligned with curricula while collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure content quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Game Design, or related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in developing educational content with emphasis on gamification and interactive learning.
• Proven experience leading creative/technical teams.
• Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models, and gamification.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of interactive, gamified educational content for multiple platforms.
• Mentor and manage a team of instructional designers, content creators, and junior developers.
• Develop modules, simulations, quizzes, and educational games aligned with curricula objectives.
• Integrate pedagogical best practices with engaging game design to maximize motivation and retention.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical soundness.
• Define technical requirements and select tools/technologies for content development.
• Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback to improve the experience.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery.
• Stay updated on edtech, gamification, and digital learning trends.
• Present project status and outcomes to senior management.
