A medium-sized services provider is urgently seeking an experienced, operational, hands-on, yet commercially strong, Head of Finance to join their team in Durban, KZN.

The role will start off as a contract role, with a minimum of 6 months, and will be ideally suited to an experienced person who is immediately available, or available shortly.

The company has a lot of moving parts and will require an agile person who can adapt to circumstances as they change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full financial responsibility for one of the Group Companies.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage financial relationships with banks, auditors, and institutions.
• Build, lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified CA(SA); CGMA.
• Immediate, or short-term availability is highly preferred.
• 5 years minimum of experience working in a managerial/leadership role within the services sector.
• Deadline-driven, strong communicator and leader/manager.
• R960 000 - R1 200 000 / annum CTC heavily dependent on experience.
