Placements24 seeks a strategic Head of Environmental Health & Safety to establish best-in-class programs across Sandton properties, with a strong focus on cleaning and sanitation. You will lead audits, risk assessments, and training while shaping a culture of health and cleanliness.

You will manage budgets and collaborate with senior leaders to integrate EHS across all operations. A CSP or CIH certification and 10+ years of experience are essential for this executive role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in EH&S or related field
• 10+ years progressive EHS management experience with sanitation focus
• Experience developing and implementing robust EHS management systems
• Strong leadership, strategic planning and decision‑making abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• CSP or CIH certifications are essential

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental Health & Safety policies with emphasis on cleaning and sanitation for Sandton sites.
• Oversee EHS compliance, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations related to hygiene.
• Lead and mentor the EHS team, ensuring training and resource management for cleaning operations.
• Collaborate with senior management to integrate EHS best practices into operations.
• Manage budgets for EHS programs including cleaning supplies, equipment and training.
• Stay updated on evolving regulations and drive continuous EHS improvement.
