Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Services Coordinator for their Port Elizabeth facilities, operating under a hybrid model. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, infection control, and coordinating the environmental services team while balancing on-site oversight with remote admin tasks.

You will develop and implement protocols, conduct training, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in environmental services, preferably in healthcare or high-standard settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and disinfection methods.
• Experience with hybrid work arrangements, managing on-site and remote tasks.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cleaning and sanitation schedules and deploy staff efficiently.
• Oversee safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness, hazards, and protocol compliance.
• Manage inventory of supplies and place orders to maintain stock levels.
