Job summary
Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Hygiene Specialist to join our client’s team in Centurion. This hybrid role balances on-site inspections with remote planning and analysis to uphold hygiene and sanitation standards across facilities.
You will develop programs, conduct site assessments, train staff, and advise on sanitation, pest control and waste management while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years in environmental hygiene or sanitation management.
- Strong knowledge of health regulations and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hygiene management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for on-site assessments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental hygiene programs.
- Conduct on-site and remote inspections to assess hygiene levels.
- Advise on sanitation practices, pest control and waste management.
- Train staff on hygiene protocols, in person and online.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental laws.
- Collaborate with facility teams to maintain a safe environment.
