Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire the Mathematics department staff, fostering a positive and collaborative teaching environment.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the Mathematics curriculum in line with national educational standards.
• Monitor teaching and learning activities within the department, ensuring quality instruction and student progress.
• Provide professional development, mentorship, and support to Mathematics teachers.

• Liaise with school management, parents, and students on matters related to mathematics education.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 years of teaching experience in Mathematics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or HOD capacity.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and instructional leadership in Mathematics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate students and staff and improve academic outcomes in Mathematics.
• Thorough understanding of the national curriculum requirements and examination standards for Mathematics.
