Job summary

Discovery Limited seeks a strategic leader to head Affordability & Care Innovation within Health New Markets. You will mobilise cross-functional teams to design affordable care models, balance cost with value, and partner with providers to expand access for employers, employees, and members.

The role requires extensive experience in healthcare strategy, risk/managed care and commercial execution, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering tangible savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
• Honours or Masters degree (or equivalent) in Business Management is advantageous.
• Substantial relevant work experience (7+ years) across healthcare risk/managed care, actuarial or commercial strategy.
• Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and strategy development.
• Health industry and Discovery operational knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own defined annual affordability targets across Health New Markets products.
• Identify, prioritise and drive model, benefit and network interventions to lower cost.
• Lead design of care-management and benefit interventions to improve affordability.
• Coordinate affordability and care-model design for large bespoke employer opportunities.
• Build and nurture provider partnerships and ecosystems to expand access and value.
