Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to assist the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day tasks across the Estate. You will carry out general maintenance, repairs and preventative work, addressing plumbing, electrical, carpentry and related trades where competent.

You will supervise a maintenance team, allocate daily tasks, monitor quality and safety, and support guest and hospitality areas.

Qualifications

• A trade qualification or formal technical qualification.
• Experience in a maintenance position.
• Experience supervising a maintenance team.
• Good practical knowledge of general property maintenance.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work.
• Experience in hospitality/estate environment advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to live on the property and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with day-to-day maintenance across the Estate.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Attend to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling and related tasks where competent.
• Identify faults and maintenance requirements before they become major problems.
• Assist with repairs to guest rooms, chalets, offices and public areas.
• Maintain doors, locks, windows, fixtures and furniture.
• Assist with water systems, pumps and related infrastructure.
• Attend to urgent breakdowns and maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and within reasonable timeframes.
• Assist in supervising and coordinating the Maintenance Department.
• Allocate daily tasks to maintenance staff and monitor progress.
• Provide guidance to team members and foster a cooperative environment.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and productivity.
• Maintain an up-to-date maintenance job card/work order system.
