Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants seeks an experienced Estate Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across estate buildings, facilities, vehicles and equipment. You will drive preventative programs, manage budgets and coordinate external teams to ensure reliable operations on a wine estate.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving and a track record in similar environments. Expect responsibility for safety compliance and continuous improvements, with occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance management or senior leadership.
• Experience in wine estates, hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing or similar environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, teams and contractors.
• Valid driver’s licence essential.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of estate buildings, facilities, vehicles and equipment.
• Manage water infrastructure, electrical systems, plumbing and essential utilities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes and schedules.
• Maintain asset registers, service records and replacement plans.
• Lead maintenance teams, contractors and external service providers.
• Coordinate maintenance projects and infrastructural upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee security infrastructure and emergency equipment.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and capital expenditure.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
• Collaborate with estate departments for daily operations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues.
