Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Graduate with up to 3 years of relevant practical experience.
• Interest in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with maintenance or process improvement is advantageous.
• Familiarity with mechanical drawings and systems.
• Proficiency in Excel; CAD exposure advantageous.
• Good communication and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transport to Brits.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and production teams with daily plant operations.
• Assist with preventative maintenance, reliability and downtime-reduction initiatives.
• Investigate equipment and process issues, assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous-improvement projects focused on productivity, waste reduction, quality, cost and safety.
• Assist with plant modifications, installation projects, equipment upgrades and technical documentation.
• Compile technical reports, maintenance records, project updates and performance information.
• Work with production, maintenance, quality and external service providers to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure adherence to plant safety, housekeeping and quality standards.
