Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions in East London is seeking a detail-oriented engineer to maintain all engineering-related activities and records at the East London Plant. You will support quality and production teams to ensure processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities include assisting in rework/scrapping, monitoring line process measurements, updating part history, drawing-vs-built checks, tear-down analysis, and rapid problem solving to address process issues.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all engineering-related activities and records of the East London Plant.
• Assist in Engineering / Quality for any rework and scrapping process.
• Support operations when needed.
• Support Technicians in monitoring Perceptron in line process measurement.
• Assist in updating optimization part history for all parts.
• Assist Engineering with drawing vs built part.
• Tear down analysis for spot weld, rivet and glue.
• Assist Engineering for process cycle time analysis and problem solving.
• Address process related problems immediately.
