Job summary

Recruitpro Solutions in Johannesburg is seeking a graduate or junior Mechanical Engineer to join a small, hands-on team delivering automation, refurbishment and system integration projects.

You will support projects from mechanical assessment through to implementation, contribute to mechanical design and drafting, assist with PLC programming and factory automation, and gain broad exposure to planning, project management and operator training.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in mechanical engineering or be near graduation.
• Interest in automation and mechanical design with hands-on approach.
• Willingness to learn PLC programming and system integration.

They are looking for a graduate or junior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys both hands-on work and careful technical planning, to join their team in Johannesburg.

The role

You will support engineering projects from mechanical assessment through to implementation, working across PLC programming, industrial automation and system integration. You will also contribute to mechanical design and drafting, help refurbish and improve existing machines, and play a part in documentation and operator training. This is a hands-on role in a small team, so you will gain broad exposure, including factory design, project planning and project management.
