Job summary

HIREXE is seeking a hands-on technical leader to guide a seed-stage home configuration platform. The role combines architectural ownership with direct coding and team leadership, reporting to the founders. Location options include remote South Africa or New York on a hybrid basis.

You will define platform strategy, ship critical features, coach engineers, and collaborate with design and product to convert business goals into actionable work while overseeing contractors and sprint processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical leader with staff or principal-level judgment who ships production code.
• Proven ability to lead a small team and coordinate with design and product.
• Strong full-stack experience: TypeScript/React/Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Own overall platform architecture and strategy.
• Direct IC work on hard engineering objectives.
• Manage growing engineering team and contractors.
• Run weekly sprint planning with design via Linear and track tickets.
• Liaise with founders, partners, suppliers, and investors as needed.
