Job summary

Merand Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for KwaZulu-Natal to drive growth within financial advisory practices. You will identify opportunities, engage clients and support Financial Advisors with prospecting and strategy execution.

The role requires strong relationship-building, analytical skills and the ability to operate at strategic and operational levels across multiple stakeholders. Durban-based position with focus on sustainable growth.

Qualifications

3–5 years' relevant experience within financial services or business development.
Experience with financial planning practices is advantageous.
CFP® qualification will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing client portfolios and databases.
Support Financial Advisors with prospecting, client engagement and business development activities.
Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth objectives.
Assist with client advisory plans and annual review processes.
Identify opportunities to increase assets under management and improve practice performance.
Support Advisors in developing value propositions and pricing frameworks.
Monitor practice performance and data to identify areas for improvement.
Drive adoption of advisory processes and help achieve targets.
Assist with dashboards and practice evaluation processes.
Provide support during client events and roadshows.
Assist with change management and transition to improved operating models.
Build and maintain relationships with Financial Advisors and stakeholders.
Develop sustainable practice management and operational processes.
