Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a commercially driven Business Head to oversee performance, profitability, operations, and strategic direction in Gauteng. The role drives growth, efficiency, and financial performance while ensuring compliance and workforce engagement.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, plus experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or supply chain environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Commerce, Operations Management, or related field.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous.
• 8–10 years' management experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing budgets, operations, people, and commercial performance.
• Manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or supply chain experience advantageous.
• Strong financial, commercial, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the business.
• Oversee daily operations, productivity, and performance.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and business development.
• Develop and manage budgets and monitor financial performance and costs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Identify growth opportunities and monitor market and competitor activity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop management teams and employees.
• Ensure effective workforce planning and performance management.
• Identify and manage business and operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with labour, health and safety, governance, and company requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Monitor KPIs and report business performance to the Managing Director and Board.
