Job summary

Unifi Group in Stellenbosch is seeking a CA(SA) to lead group reporting, IFRS interpretations and quarterly valuations. The role focuses on consolidations across Africa, year-end audits, and NetSuite integrations to streamline financial reporting.

You will partner with country finance teams, drive robust controls, and support budgeting and forecasting as the business scales. Travel to Africa teams is required.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) with SAICA registration required.
• 2–5 years post-articles experience.
• Hands-on group reporting and consolidation experience.
• Solid IFRS knowledge and ability to defend positions with auditors.
• Experience with NetSuite or ERP integrations is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to Africa teams at least twice a year.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated accounts with country finance teams.
• Tackle IFRS matters and perform quarterly group valuations.
• Coordinate year-end audit with external auditors and country teams.
• Own NetSuite administration and finance system integrations.
• Design and improve controls, processes and tools for accurate closes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for the group.
• Provide training to country teams on accounting standards and processes.

You’ll work closely with finance teams across Africa, getting into the details, questioning how we do things and helping solve problems.You’ll make our reporting, systems and controls simpler, more consistent and more automated, so Finance can scale with Unifi.

What you will own

• Group reporting: Review monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated accounts and financial statements, working with country finance teams to keep reporting accurate, consistent and on time.
• Technical accounting & valuations: Work through complex IFRS matters, recommend practical accounting solutions and perform quarterly group valuations, including investments, impairments and the loan book.
• Year-end audit: Work with external auditors and country finance teams to resolve queries, keep the audit moving and get everything signed off on time.
• Finance systems & NetSuite: Own NetSuite administration and finance integrations, improving systems to make financial reporting and day-to-day work easier.
• Finance processes & controls: Design and improve practical controls, processes and tools that help country teams close accurately and on time, without unnecessary admin.
• Planning & group projects: Support Group FP&A with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, while helping move group reporting projects forward.
• Supporting country finance teams: Share knowledge and provide practical training to help country teams use finance systems, apply accounting standards and follow processes consistently.

What you will bring

• Registered with SAICA as a CA(SA).
• At least 2 - 5 years’ post-articles experience.
• Hands‑on group reporting and consolidation in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency business.
• Solid IFRS knowledge, and the confidence to defend your position with auditors and senior finance leaders.
• The ability to see what’s happening in the business and how it shows up in the numbers.
• Some experience with NetSuite, Oracle or a similar ERP, especially administration or integrations is advantageous.
• Willing and able to travel to one of our teams in Africa at least twice in a year.
