Job summary

MA Automotive Tool and Die (PTY) Ltd in Pretoria seeks an experienced Millwright with a strong electrical background for the Maintenance department. You will coordinate daily activities, coach shift leaders and technicians on robotics and PLC systems, and drive targets for MTTR and downtime.

You must have at least 5 years in automotive maintenance with ABB and Kuka robot knowledge, Siemens S7, TIA Portal, and BMW stamping experience.

Qualifications

• NQF Educational level N6/ Diploma/Degree/ Trade.
• Educational qualification: Technical Diploma or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a millwright in the electrical field within an Automotive environment.
• Extensive working knowledge of ABB and Kuka Robot, TIA Portal, PLC Programming Siemens, S7, Festo, BMW V8 standard and stamp ware.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day administration and coordinating functions within the Maintenance department.
• Lead, coach and train shift leaders, technicians, specialists on robotics & PLC systems.
• Achieve MTTR < 20 minutes and downtime feedback < 1 day with 95% completion.
• Ensure TPM inspections are completed timeously and overtime is within legal limits.
• Perform downtime analysis and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Job description

Primary purpose of the job

Responsible for the day-to-day administration and co-ordinating functions within the Maintenance department. Responsible for all shift leaders. Lead, Coach and train , shift leaders , technicians, specialist on both robotics & PLC Systems.

Key Performance Areas

• MTTR (Mean time to repair) less than 20 Minutes for all subordinates.
• Downtime Feedback less than 1 Day and Min 95% completion rate for all subordinates.
• Works Order / PM closeout within 7 Day’s.
• Equipment downtime less than 5%.
• Downtime analysis completed weekly (Root cause analysis).
• MTTF (Mean time to failure) more than 24 hours for all equipment.
• Identifying UA/UC as per company requirement and fixing identified issues within the required time.
• Manage and accurately book overtime for subordinates and ensure weekly overtime does not exceed legal limits.
• All pre-shift and TPM inspections are completed timeously.
