Boardroom Appointments seeks a Group Financial Accountant to oversee shared services across HR, Risk, and Workshop, and to prepare P&L and balance sheet reports. You will collect data, analyze it for weekly and monthly estimates and drive group cashflow forecasting.

You will lead a team of accountants, supervise payments, manage IFRS compliance and year-end statements, and partner with tax consultants on group tax matters. Emailing updates to EXCO and stakeholders completes the cycle.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years post article experience
• Grade 12
• Newly qualified CA or equivalent
• Experience with Oracle would be advantageous
• Computer literacy, numerical skills
• Sound communication skills in written and verbal format

Responsabilités

• Oversee all financial functions at Shared Services (HR, Risk, Workshop)
• Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports
• Collecting and analysing data, which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly estimates
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Prepare group cashflow reporting and cashflow forecasts
• Monitor daily cash balances and determine cash requirements
• Supervise financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
• Release payments submitted by group creditors on a timeous basis
• Implement financial reporting systems to comply with IFRS and government regulations
• Examine financial reports and data for discrepancies
• Prepare annual financial statements and working papers for group companies/trusts/dormant entities
• Prepare all tax calculations in accordance with tax laws
• Maintain relationship with tax consultants and be point of contact on tax matters
• Understand and apply IFRS and act as technical financial resource for the Group
• Prepare and Review balance sheet recons
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, consolidate budgets and forecasts
• Manage external audit for group entities
• Management of General Ledger and accounting standards interpretation
• Examine financial records for accuracy
• Manage and train staff
• Maintain monthly review packs for EXCO and stakeholders
• Provide guidance to BUs on accounting treatments
• Prepare consolidated group pack including DSO and covenants
• Prepare and oversee financial information for Zambia BU
• Work with Oracle administrator on GL mappings
• Update PowerBI dashboards monthly with forecasts and past figures
