Job summary

LexisNexis South Africa seeks a Chief Financial Officer to partner with the South Africa leadership team, providing strategic financial insight and governance across a diversified portfolio. You will lead planning, forecasting, and performance management, translating data into actionable business decisions.

You will drive financial strategy, ensure robust controls, and champion the use of data and AI to improve finance effectiveness while developing the local finance team.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting / Finance degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Mining industry experience is essential.
• Advanced ERP systems exposure with strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review group financial reporting and consolidations.
• Manage intercompany accounting and resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
• Analyse financial results and provide meaningful commentary.
• Support audit processes and maintain strong financial controls.
• Contribute to improving group reporting processes and financial efficiencies.
