Job summary

Synergy Jobs (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Group Accountant in Midrand to take responsibility for financial tasks related to specific business units and group finance activities. Key duties include monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, GP reports, Exco packs, fixed asset maintenance, and ensuring internal controls to support accurate financial results.

A BCom degree and at least 3 years of accounting experience are required, with strong Excel skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 (Compulsory).
• BCom degree is compulsory/required.
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience as an Accountant.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial and management reporting.
• Meet month end deadlines in a timely manner.
• Capture financial entries, review performance and distribute reports.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare GP reports for analysis and margin interrogation.
• Compile GL reconciliations monthly.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Capex records and depreciation entries.
• Prepare Exco packs and PDF documents.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with policies.
• Ad hoc tasks as required.
