Placements24 is seeking a Community Mobilizer to engage residents in Upington and foster participation in local programs. The role focuses on building trust, disseminating information, and facilitating access to services as a bridge between the organization and the community.

The ideal candidate will have experience in community work, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to travel within the community to drive participation and positive impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community work or development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the community and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with community members to raise awareness about available programs and services.
• Facilitate community meetings and outreach activities to gather feedback and build consensus.
• Mobilize community members to participate in project activities and events.
• Identify and report on community needs, challenges, and opportunities to program managers.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community leaders and local groups.
