Placements24 is seeking Graduate Software Developers to join a fintech engineering hub in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will contribute to design, development, and testing of scalable software, collaborating with experienced engineers to learn best practices and gain hands‑on experience with modern stacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and object‑oriented principles.
• Exposure to Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data structures.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Cape Town for this role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in line with project requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high‑quality software.
• Develop and implement new features for web and mobile applications.
• Assist in identifying and resolving defects and performance issues.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Learn and apply new technologies as needed.
• Document technical designs and solutions effectively.
• Engage in problem‑solving and contribute ideas to development processes.
• Work closely with senior developers on complex technical challenges.
