Qualifications
- A recent degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Sound understanding of fundamental chemical engineering concepts, including mass and energy balances, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics.
- Familiarity with process simulation software is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills for technical discussions and reporting within the Richards Bay industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes and equipment.
- Conduct pilot plant studies and scale-up activities under supervision.
- Monitor process performance and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Prepare technical reports, data analysis, and process documentation.
- Collaborate with operations, R&D, and safety teams to implement improvements.
