Placements24 is partnering with a prominent financial services firm in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, to hire a Graduate Financial Accountant. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across general ledger, AP/AR, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with mentorship from experienced finance professionals.

The program provides structured training and pathways for professional qualifications (SAIPA/SAICA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles; IFRS knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP/Oracle/Pastel is a plus.
• High accuracy, good organization and time-management.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support month-end and year-end closes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in audits and provide documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
