Qualifications

• Qualified in Early Childhood Education or Foundation Phase teaching.
• Experience teaching Grade R or similar.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and ECD principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons for Grade R students, focusing on early literacy and numeracy and life skills.
• Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to young children's learning and development.
• Assess student progress through observation, documentation, and appropriate evaluation tools.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and progress.
• Collaborate with other early years educators and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
• Manage classroom resources and ensure a well-organized and stimulating learning space.
