Job summary

Sasol is seeking a skilled maintenance artisan for Secunda, Mpumalanga, to operate basic mechanical/electro-mechanical equipment and perform routine tasks following detailed instructions to meet performance targets.

You will apply plant maintenance knowledge, participate in risk assessments, read maintenance docs, mentor juniors, and support safety, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives while developing your competency under supervision.

Qualifications

• Matric/N3 with Maths, English and Physical Science.
• Occupational Trade Qualification/Certificate (Mechanical Red Seal).
• 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Proven competence in identified plant discipline areas.
• Read and implement task risk assessments.
• Participate in daily work planning and toolbox talks.
• Support safety management and emergency procedures.
• Provide feedback to supervisor on progress.
• Mentor junior artisans and share knowledge.
