Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Governance Controller to enhance system-driven governance and control monitoring. You will lead automation projects, ensure integration of business data, and support ERP-driven processes across entities.

The role requires a CA(SA) or equivalent with strong ERP knowledge and 3+ years in operational finance or governance. This is a full-time position based in South Africa.

Qualifications

• BCom Honours or equivalent.
• CA(SA).
• Strong, detailed understanding of ERP systems.
• 3+ years operational finance experience (management level).
• Experience in IT or project management.
• 3+ years governance and control experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership on governance and control processes with system driven continuous monitoring.
• Lead and manage governance and control automation projects.
• Ensure seamless integration of business information for lean governance.
• Build automated governance and control processes with measurable outputs.
• Support system solutions across multiple legal entities.

About the job Governance Controller: Systems

Primary purpose of the Governance Controller Systems is to:

• To support the governance strategy for the group and drive efficiency, effectiveness and speed in identification of governance & control failures
• Design, develop and entrenching meaningful system driven governance and control monitoring
• Improvement in reporting, tracking and identification of control failures

Key Outputs and Accountabilities

• Provide future focused thought leadership on governance and control processes and system driven continuous monitoring that delivers value to the business by reducing complexity and enabling management to manage effectively by focusing on exceptions detailed, focused and timeous reporting capability enabling a lean and effective governance organisation
• Lead and manage various governance and control automation projects
• Responsible for effective integration of all business information to enable lean efficient and seamless governance and control processes
• Building automated governance and control processes where standard rules and measurable outputs can be quantified (e.g. daily stock compliance report)
• Support the implementation of systems solutions across multiple legal entities
• Support the ERM system solution
