Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group in Somerset seeks a Travel Consultant to convert enquiries into bookings, selling complete travel solutions in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail setting. You’ll work full-time on-site, rotating through a 7-day roster, with commission tied to performance and KPIs.

You will manage inquiries from first contact to booking and follow-up, building relationships with new and repeat customers while handling multiple channels and complex itineraries.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing, target-driven sales role with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
• Strong communication and confidence selling in person and over the phone.
• High attention to detail and ability to use multiple, complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative sales conversations.
• Work toward individual KPIs and sales targets, earning commission on every sale.
• Sell end-to-end travel solutions including flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, car hire, transfers and insurance.
• Build a loyal base of new and repeat customers across simple and complex itineraries.
• Manage multiple customers and channels (in-store, phone, email) in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Use booking systems and supplier tools to quote, upsell, book, and follow up accurately.
