Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Global Markets Operations professional to support front office teams in confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations across product sets. The role emphasizes process accuracy, risk-aware execution, and timely escalation for remediation.

You will handle trade confirmations, settlements, and system monitoring, ensuring proper segregation of duties, and contributing to governance and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant degree.
• Have 3–5+ years of strong operational experience in Global Markets.
• ACI Operations certificate will be an advantage.
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex work tasks that support front office teams with the fulfilment of the processing functions of confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations across product sets and in understanding the processes support with the management of query remediation.
• Execute transactions consistently, efficiently, and accurately.
• Perform all functions associated with the trade confirmation, settlement, and monitoring in line with minimum standards.
• Ensure segregation of duties are always maintained between relevant processing functions.
• Monitor system alerts to confirm that settlements occurred successfully.
• Accurately load/amend/delete Cession and Pledges which is supported by the necessary approvals.
