Job summary

Intrepid Travel in South Africa is seeking a Cook to partner with Independent Freelance Group Leaders to ensure travellers are well fed and cared for during tours. You will take ownership of all hot meals, food preparation, and portions to deliver memorable dining experiences.

You will also handle budgeting, menu planning, hygiene, equipment and camping materials, and ensure dietary requirements are met while guests enjoy a positive experience on every trip with Intrepid.

Qualifications

• Police Clearance required.
• Valid passport for six months.
• Recognised Chef/ Cook Certification.
• Ability to assess customer dietary needs.
• Proficient in food preparation and seasoning.

Responsibilities

• Own hot meals and portions to ensure travellers are served delicious meals.
• Prepare and portion a variety of meals, manage budget and menu planning.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness and manage equipment and camping gear.
• Ensure dietary requirements are met and guests have a positive experience.
