Job summary

SLR Consulting Limited seeks a senior Geotechnical Lead to provide technical leadership on geotechnical projects and mentor staff. You will help develop client relationships and support growth across Africa.

Requires a Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree, 10+ years' geotechnical experience, proficiency in geotechnical analysis software, and professional registration. Willingness to travel internationally and bring in new work is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree.
• 10+ years of geotechnical planning, site investigation, testing, analysis and reporting.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring staff.
• Proficiency in MS Office/365 and geotechnical software.
• Ability to travel internationally and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from proposal through design and construction.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and staff.
• Prepare tenders, contracts, plans, field investigations and lab testing programs.
• Produce geotechnical factual, interpretive and design reports.
