About the Role

Our client, a dynamic exploration and production company in the Oil & Gas industry , is seeking a Geophysical Data Analyst to join their technical team in Polokwane, Limpopo . This role is pivotal in processing, interpreting, and managing geophysical data acquired from various sources, including seismic surveys. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of geophysical datasets, generating interpretative products, and supporting exploration and development activities. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in geophysical software, contributing directly to the identification of subsurface geological targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, quality control, and analyze various geophysical datasets, primarily seismic data.
• Utilize specialized software for data processing, interpretation, and visualization.
• Generate reports and maps detailing subsurface structures and stratigraphy.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to integrate geophysical interpretations with other subsurface data.
• Identify potential hydrocarbon traps and assist in evaluating exploration risks.
• Maintain geophysical databases and ensure data integrity.
• Stay abreast of advancements in geophysical technologies and methodologies within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning of geophysical surveys.

Requirements
