Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is hiring a Generative AI Engineer to own and ship our automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models, not model training, with collaboration to leadership on a documented automation roadmap.

You will build agentic workflows and integrate with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, creating internal tools and automation pipelines across WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and our CMS. Remote-friendly, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.

• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As Generative AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
