African Echoes Recruitment is seeking a senior sales and general management leader for a luxury safari/hospitality property in Limpopo. You will drive occupancy, revenue and market share by developing strategic sales plans and building global trade partnerships.

Responsibility includes leading a remote bush-based team, representing the property at industry events, and crafting packages to boost off-peak occupancy.

Formación

• 10–15 years senior experience in commercial, sales, revenue or general management within luxury safari, lodge or high-end hospitality
• Proven results growing occupancy, revenue and market share
• Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Take accountability for occupancy and revenue targets
• Develop and implement annual sales and commercial strategies
• Proactively secure business from tour operators, DMCs and travel agents
• Build and maintain local and international trade relationships
• Represent the property at tourism trade fairs and industry events
• Negotiate trade contracts, rates and commercial agreements
• Identify new markets, partnerships and revenue opportunities
• Drive direct bookings and manage distribution channels
• Oversee brand positioning, marketing, PR, website and social media
• Develop packages and experiences to grow low-season and midweek occupancy
• Monitor booking trends, forecasts, conversion and revenue performance
• Manage commercial budgets and report on results
• Work with operational managers to maintain guest experience and service standards
• Lead and support the existing management team

REQUIREMENTS

• 10–15 years’ senior experience in commercial, sales, revenue or general management within luxury safari, lodge or high-end hospitality
• Proven results growing occupancy, revenue and market share
• Established network of tour operators, DMCs and travel agents, locally and internationally
• Strong trade sales, business development and relationship management experience
• Experience representing properties at tourism trade fairs
• Excellent knowledge of sales strategy, revenue management, pricing and distribution
• Marketing experience across digital, social media, PR and trade platforms
• Strong financial, negotiation and commercial skills
• Confident in prospecting, cold-calling and converting leads into bookings
• Proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally and live in a remote bush environment

PACKAGE

• Salary: R70,000 – R80,000 per month
• Performance bonus linked to occupancy and revenue
• Accommodation provided
