Job summary

SET Recruitment Consultants seeks a General Manager – Africa to lead strategic growth, profitability and operational excellence across multiple African markets. Based in Johannesburg with extensive travel, you will oversee regional operations, drive major tenders, and build strategic client relationships.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, Mining or Business, 12+ years of relevant experience including 5+ in senior management, proven P&L accountability and strong financial leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Mining, Business or related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven P&L accountability and experience in business development and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial, financial and operational leadership capabilities.
• Experience managing projects and teams across multiple countries.
• Valid passport and driver's license with willingness to travel extensively across Africa.
