Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a General Assistant (Internal Applications Only) to provide comprehensive customer service in-store, assist with merchandising, price labelling and housekeeping within a designated area.

The role requires a minimum Grade 10/NQF3 or Grade 12, English and local language communication, SA ID, basic math, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays; candidates must handle pressure effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year work experience, or Grade 12 with no related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Customers on correct products and queries.
• Assist with and resolve Customer complaints
• Bulk stock area to be merchandised safely and according to Store layout plan
• Must ensure your area of responsibility is fully merchandised according to Store layout and planograms.
• Ensure that your area is free of obstacles, stock is merchandised after receipt and that Customers can enter and leave your aisle safely.
• Correct shelf price labelling within area of responsibility.
• Ensure Checklist completed as required when on duty with Canteen and Toilet/Showers schedule
• Safety (OHSA) compliance within area of responsibility
• Report discrepancies to Store Manager
• Report damaged stock within area of responsibility to Store Manager
• Integrity, Accuracy, Client focus values alignment

Description:

Ensure comprehensive Customer service in Store. Merchandising of stock, shelf price labelling and housekeeping within designated area of responsibility.

• Report damaged stock within area of responsibility to Store Manager
