Job summary

Talent Recruitment & Consulting is seeking an experienced Print Designer for a permanent, on-site role with The Client in Bryanston, Johannesburg. You will design fundraising appeal materials and print collateral that support their mission while upholding brand standards.

The ideal candidate brings detailed-oriented design skills, strong project management, and collaboration with writers, marketers, and printers. A portfolio demonstrating print design expertise is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/visual communications or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional print design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with Box, Google Drive or OneDrive.
• Thorough understanding of print production processes, typography, colour management, bleeds, prepress and file preparation.
• A portfolio demonstrating print design expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design fundraising appeal packages, including letters, brochures, reply devices, envelopes, newsletters, postcards and related print collateral.
• Create layouts that balance strong visual design with readability, storytelling and fundraising best practices.
• Prepare press-ready files and ensure all artwork meets print production specifications.
• Collaborate closely with copywriters, marketing strategists, project managers and ministry teams throughout the creative process.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting tight production schedules and deadlines.
• Apply and maintain brand standards across all printed communications.
• Work with printers and external vendors to troubleshoot files, review proofs and ensure quality throughout production.
• Understand and incorporate feedback from stakeholders while maintaining design integrity and project objectives.
• Organise design assets, templates and production files for efficient team collaboration.
• Stay informed on design trends, print techniques and fundraising direct mail best practices to continually improve creative effectiveness.
