Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and management of major infrastructure projects from a fully remote position within South Africa. You will guide project teams, ensure technical excellence, and uphold safety and quality standards across diverse sites.

The role requires a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering, Pr.Eng registration with ECSA, and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software and remote collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of complex civil engineering projects, including transportation, water, and site development.
• Provide expert technical direction and oversight to project teams, ensuring adherence to design standards and best practices.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses remotely.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Foster strong collaboration and communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams across various locations.
