Job summary

Curro Holdings Ltd. is seeking a CAT Teacher (FET Phase) at The Kings School in Linbro Park to commence duties in January 2027.

The role covers teaching and co-ordination of subjects per the Curro curriculum for the FET phase, focusing on knowledge transfer, skills development and learner growth via integrated teaching approaches. The position requires an FET-qualified teacher with IEB knowledge, strong communication and planning skills, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• BEd degree and/or PGCE in FET phase education, with an honours degree in education (in the relevant subject/s) advantageous
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum
• Facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills
• Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Teaching duties, including planning lessons and measuring academic improvement
• Set up and monitor term plans, differentiating for barriers to learning
• Create baseline assessments and tailor subject choices and remediation
• Plan and manage the classroom, including assessments and homework
• Manage assessments and moderation, revision and supervision
• Coordinate extramural activities and outings
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and extra lessons
