Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in FET phase education (Honours advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an FET phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum.
• Facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
• Willing and able to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate subjects per Curro curriculum for the FET phase.
• Plan lessons using modern tools and resources; set up workbooks; measure progress.
• Adjust term plan for exams, assessments and activities; differentiate learning materials.
• Create baseline assessments and adapt teaching methods and remedial plans.
• Plan and manage the classroom, assessments, homework, and moderation.
• Coordinate extramural activities and outings; provide tutoring when needed.
