Job summary

G Adventures, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to join the Operations Systems team in Cape Town. You will work on a React frontend and a Python/Django backend within an API-driven ecosystem supporting Product, Local Operations, Buying and Marketing teams.

This hybrid role requires strong JavaScript, React, and Python experience, plus a focus on UX and maintainable code. You will collaborate across teams, write tests, review code, and prototype ideas to improve performance and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of JavaScript experience.
• 3+ years of React experience.
• 5+ years of Python experience; Django a plus.
• Fundamental HTML & CSS knowledge.
• Deep familiarity with browser behaviour and tooling.
• Comfort navigating the command line, especially with git.
• PostgreSQL familiarity; SQL optimization experience.
• Experience with microservice architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and deploy software for the Operations Systems Applications.
• Work in a distributed team with strong communication and empathy.
• Collaborate with Product, Local Operations, Buying and Marketing teams.
• Prototype wireframes and features; participate in design and code reviews.
• Improve system performance and maintainability; ensure test coverage.
