Job summary

G Adventures is seeking a full-stack developer to join the Technology team in South Africa. You will work on a React frontend with a Django backend, building API-driven tools for Operations Systems and collaborating with product, local operations, buying, and marketing teams.

We value open source tooling, maintainable code, rigorous testing, and a people-first culture. Hybrid role from Cape Town, with opportunities to grow as you ship features that impact travel experiences worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of JavaScript experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React.
• 5+ years of Python experience; Django is a plus.
• Fundamental HTML & CSS knowledge.
• Deep familiarity with browser behaviour and tooling (devtools).
• Comfort navigating the command line, especially with git.
• Understanding of common application stacks (nginx, node.js, uwsgi).
• Design sensibilities in UX and code craftsmanship.
• PostgreSQL familiarity and SQL tuning.
• Experience with microservice architectures is a plus.
