Job summary

OpenSource Intelligent Solutions in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and microservices using Java, Angular, and cloud-native patterns. You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and contribute to technology decisions across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications and microservices
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions
• Develop cloud-native, scalable, and resilient software solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions and solution design reviews
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards
• Create and execute automated tests and resolve defects efficiently
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities
• Investigate and provide third-level production support when required
• Produce technical and system documentation aligned with ISO standards
• Present technical solutions to Product Owners, System Owners, and Technical Leaders
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Senior Full Stack Developer (Java | Angular | Cloud Native)

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing Agile team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade applications that power critical business operations. You'll work with modern technologies including Java 21, Quarkus, Angular 18, Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, and MongoDB, while helping shape architectural decisions and mentoring fellow engineers.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience with Angular 18+, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
• Proficiency in Java 21+, Quarkus 3+, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Experience working with Kafka and MongoDB (NoSQL) databases.
• Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture, including designing and implementing distributed, scalable applications.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with Git, version control best practices, and collaborative Git workflows.
• Front-end and end-to-end testing experience using Jest and Playwright
